Car Camping in Style: Mercedes Debuts Luxury Camper Van

Who says you have to rough it when you go camping? Certainly not the people over at Mercedes-Benz! Mercedes-Benz is set to debut their new luxury camper van at this year at the upcoming Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, Germany. The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo luxury camper sleeps 4 and has a working kitchenette.

Introducing the Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class Marco Polo may look like just a nice minivan as it’s driving around town, but it actually has an automatic hatch on the top that transforms the minivan into a luxurious overnight camper. The camper sleeps four, with a back row that electronically folds out into a full bed, and another sleeping area in its expandable canopy. But Mercedes doesn’t stop there with the amenities. Of course there’s the classic smooth leather interior and LED lighting, but this dazzling camper also comes complete with an onboard kitchenette, two gas burners, a sink, a refrigerator, a 10 gallon fresh water holder and extra large waste tank.

Easy to Camp, Easy to Drive.

When not expanded in “camper style,” this vehicle looks like a normal minivan, allowing it to drive and park most anywhere. It has a four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that ranges in output from 136 to 190 horsepower, and can even fit into most garages and car washes so its shiny paint job stays fresh. It seems like the perfect option for someone who wants the functionality of a full camper, without the camper look or style. Oh, and someone who enjoys camping in comfort, of course.
